John Salter - Realtor, DRE# 01409065

John has had many abodes in various locations, relocating to Garberville in 1986 from Hartford, Connecticut via Los Angeles, California. His current motto is borrowed from the American Indian proverb by Mary Brave Bird which states; "Maka le Walkan--the land is sacred." John has such a deep appreciation of the land that he spent hours exploring the backroads of Humboldt County prior to becoming a realtor in order to abate this curiosity.

John began his realtor career in 2004. He became enamored of the land in Humboldt County and realized a desire to share the experience of living here with others. One of the pluses he's received from this career is getting to know different personalities and working with all types people. John is committed to continue living a full and involved life in the community of Southern Humboldt.

John began his educational background by graduating (and surviving) from both Catholic and Military schooling. Due to his thirst for knowledge and joy of learning, John has earned various degrees: he has been an Electrician, a Welder, and an Automotive Technician, besides of course most recently, a Realtor.

John lives on 40+ acres in a beautiful home set amongst the redwoods. John has one grown son, Jake, and was very active in his upbringing and schooling. John is currently sharing his home with two dogs, a Labrador - Chewie, and a Blue Heeler - Daffodil. He is a member of the green thumb society and has the pleasure of blueberries, strawberries, peaches, apples, grapes, apricots, and more growing organically on his small plot of land.
